Quickest way to make Money?
Just curious on the different ways to make some quick money? or tell me if this will work, I currently have an inventory full of "UNIDENTIFIED" items, including Axes,Hammers, Bows, staffs, and swords, But i just got enough money to buy my first Identification scroll (or whatever its called). Is it beneficial to use that on say an Axe/Hammer that I won't use (I'm a ranger) and try to sell it? Or should I use it on my "Unidentified" Bow to get a better weapon??
I guess my question is.. Are "Unidentifed" Items of great value??? I would like to get enough to get my Guild a Cape. Or to get better weapons. I so far have been running around doing simple quests near the towns, and worked up to a lvl 5, but i can't continue with this full inventory. Also is it possible to get more inventory storage?? or is it limited by my ranger class?? Thanks for the Help!! Sitruc |

When you identify and item, it becomes more valuable to sell. Also, anything that is colored, you should identify it then salvage it, you can get crafting materials from them. Or just sell everything

You can use the kit to identify 25 items, it will tell you how many uses are left. Identify everything. There is a mod items can have called "Precious" which makes them sell to NPCs for much more gold, it's fairly common too.

There are items that when identified increase in price (Precious = 20g) and some are highly salvageable (break down into more than the usual salvage items) Each ID kit has 25 uses and I personally ID items with 4-6dmg or better in presearing Ascalon. You should make more than enough to replace the ID kit from the items identified.

Thanks, I didn't realize the Identify kit could be used that much. I thought it was a 1 and done item.
Thanks Again. Sitruc |

"Quickest way to make money?"
The way I keep in funds works well for me. I carry 1 identify kit, 2 salvage kits, and 1 Expert salvage kit. I salvage everything that is not either precious or something I want to keep. Of course, I use the expert salvage where needed. Anyway, I stockpile all these salvaged craft items and then sell them to the material traders when I can get a good price for 'em. The prices fluctuate often, so I check every chance I get to see what is selling good. If I find I can get a good price out of something, I sell it until I have 10 or 20 or so left. Every now & then I will sell craft items to people looking for some that I have, but mostly I sell to the material trader. If I find weapons/shields/whatever that is pretty nice but I have no need for, I will wait until I have 4 or 5 such items and then try to sell or trade them in town. |

In pre-sear, there are at least 2 ways to get a belt pouch that holds 5 items. The one I always do is to kill enough bandits to get 5 worn belts. There is a guy in the little town outside Ashford Abbey that will trade those belts for a belt pouch. He's standing by a lighthouse-looking tower in the middle of the "town".
Post sear, you can buy other bags in Ascalon City for 100 gold a pop. Don't get more than 1 belt pouch, or more than 2 bags. They won't do you any good and you can't trade them. Once you get to Yak's Bend, for 500 gold you can buy a rune that makes your bags 10 slots instead of 5. When I expanded my bags to 10, I made one bag my craft bag. It's cool cuz all the basic crafting stuff fits in one bag. When I salvage stuff it just disappears to the stack in the bag, unless I get something special, which appears right there so I know immediately if I've salvaged something cool. |

You can get a belt pouch in the beginning by collecting 5 scale fins and trading them to the collector right outside of Ascalon City. There are other collectors that will probably give you a pouch as well.
After you leave that area, you can buy 2 more pouches for 100 gold each. A good rule to follow for getting gold is to identify every blue "Unidentified" item and then based on its status, choose whether to keep, salvage, sell to merchant or sell to the public. Dye is valued at 1 by the merchants but you can sell it to players anywhere from 50 to 100 gold (black dye being the most rare). Remember that most weapons salvage into either wood or iron which sell for 5 each so salvaging something worth 2 gold more than doubles its value in materials. It's also much easier carrying around 100+ wood and iron in a couple slots than a bunch of weapons filling up your whole inventory. |

How to make money as an Elementalist/Ranger:
Step One: Go outside old ascalon and head to the stone elemental spawns. Run around and train 8-12 of them onto you at once. Step Two: Cast Troll Reagent to tank them, then cast Glyph of Lesser energy, Fire Storm, and Lava Font. Watch all of them die. Step 3: Collect all the gold, lodestones, and loot. Repeat this run every 5 minutes. When your inventory gets full, sell everything. Practice this enough, and you can make 500-700 gold in less than 20 minutes. |
